Rwanda’s Producer Price Index up 2.58 pct in Q2, 2016

Rwanda’s Produce Price Index (PPI), which measures wholesale inflation, for the second quarter 2016 registered an increase of 2.58 percent compared to the index of the second quarter of the year 2015, and a decrease of 0.29 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (first quarter 2016).


Rwanda’s Producer Price Index down 1.07 in Q1, 2016

The general index for the first quarter 2016 registered a decrease of 1.29  percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (fourth quarter 2015) and a decrease of  1.07 percent  compared to the index of the first quarter of the year 2015.


Rwanda’s Producer Price Index up 0.42 in Q3, 2015

The general index for the third quarter 2015 registered an increase of 0.42  percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (second quarter 2015) and an increase of  2.01 percent  compared to the index of the third quarter of the year 2014.


Rwanda’s Producer Price Index up 1.39 in Q1, 2015

The general index for the first quarter 2015 registered an increase of 1.39  percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (fourth quarter 2014) and an increase of  1.00 percent  compared to the index of the first quarter of the year 2014.


Rwanda's producer price index up 0.45 pct in Q4, 2014

The Producer Price Index (PPI) for Rwanda's industrial products which  measures the average change over time in prices received by domestic producers for the production of their goods and services, rose by 0.45 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014 from a year earlier.


Rwanda's PPI down1.93 pct in Q2, 2014

Rwanda's general Producer Price Index (PPI), a key inflation indicator, registered a decrease of 1.93 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter (first quarter 2014) and a decrease of  0.19 percent compared to the index of the second quarter of the year 2013.


Food and beverages prices drive up Rwanda producer prices

The input and output prices of Rwanda's producers both rose in the third quarter to the end of September 2013 on the back of rising food,beverages and tobacco products.

Industrial producer prices down in Rwanda

Prices of industrial products went down 0.01 percent in December 2012 compared to the prevailing prices in November of the same year, according to a latest report published by the Economic Department at the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR).


The index for the third quarter 2012 registered an increase of 1.21 percent compared to the index of the second quarter of 2012.
