FinScope Rwanda 2020

The FinScope Survey not only enabled the assessment of the landscape of financial access in Rwanda, but also provided a benchmark for repeat surveys that will enable the impact of access related policy interventions to be assessed.  This report summarises the findings of FinScope Rwanda 2020.  This summary report addresses the information needs that would enable the government to develop and monitor evidence-based policies and regulations which will help extend the reach of financial services in the country.


Foreign Private Capital Census Report 2019

This report presents 2018 findings on Foreign Private Capital inflows, and the data used was collected on 288 registered private companies from the Rwanda Development Board’s registration of companies.


Integrated Business Enterprise Survey IBES 2018

The Integrated Business Enterprise Survey in Rwanda (IBES) is a comprehensive annual enterprise survey undertaken to collect, compile, and analyze data on the level and structure of non-agricultural economic activity in the country for both informal and formal sectors, with the formal sector defined as those businesses registered with the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) and that keeps regular business accounts. The formal sector also includes companies that have 30 or more employees.

The Integrated Business Enterprise Survey in Rwanda 2017 (IBES 2017) is a comprehensive enterprise survey undertaken to collect, compile, and analyze data on the level and structure of non-agricultural economic activity in the country for both informal and formal sectors, with the formal sector defined as those businesses registered with the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) and that keeps regular business accounts. The formal sector also includes companies have 30 or more employees.


Establishment Census Report, 2017

The Establishment Census is a valuable source of information on all economic activities by size, formal and informal status of establishments in Rwanda. It provides information that are used to classify establishments according to their size (micro, small, medium, and large) but also formal and informal establishments. The methodology used for data collection and data analysis is quite similar and this help in comparative analysis with the previous establishments.

The Integrated Business Enterprise Survey in Rwanda 2016 (IBES 2016) is a comprehensive enterprise survey undertaken to collect, compile, and analyze data on the level and structure of non-agricultural economic activity in the country for both informal and formal sectors with the formal sector defined as those businesses registered with the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA). Also included in formal sector are those companies which keep business accounts and or have 30 or more employees.

The Rwanda Foreign Private Capital 2017 Report, is the eighth in a series of annual censuses jointly conducted by the National Bank of Rwanda, the Rwanda Development Board, the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda and the Private Sector Federation.

The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) carried out the survey from August 2016 to early January 2017, with financial support from the Government of Rwanda.


Foreign Private Capital Census Report 2015

The Government of Rwanda continues to promote private sector development, aiming at fostering both local and foreign investment by undertaking reforms with the objective of making the country a favorable place for investment.

The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) carried out the survey from end August 2015 to end December 2015, with financial support from the Government of Rwanda.
