The fourth National Strategy for the Development of Statistics, NSDS4 in Rwanda will be implemented in the period between July 2024 to June 2029. It builds on the three rounds of the NSDSs. Specifically, it is designed after the third NSDS (NSDS3) that was implemented from July 2019 to June 2024. NSDS4 design begun early March of 2023. The evaluation conducted in September 2023 revealed that NSDS3 was very successful since it attained most of its established goals and objectives. The evaluation identified both lessons learnt, and challenges faced during its execution, and used them to propose innovative strategies and way forward to the design of NSDS4.
