Second National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (2014 -2018)

NSDS2 has been developed through a highly participatory and consultative process involving the members of NSS, including private sector, national and sub-national institutions and development partners (public, non-public, national and international including civil society). This is the final document which  articulates the strategies for the development of the National Statistical System (NSS) in Rwanda for the period 2014/15 – 2018/19. It has been approved by the Cabinet of Rwanda on 10 September 2014 and has been officially launched on 26 November 2014

Law determining the organization of statistical activities in Rwanda (official gazette)

This is the Law on the Organization of Statistical  Activities in Rwanda .All activities concerning Statistical Activates are now governed by this new Law number 45/2013 of 16/06/2013

Microdata Release Policy

This policy document addresses the conditions and the manner in which anonymised microdata files may be released to users for research purposes while ensuring that the confidentiality of information provided by respondents is respected. The objective of this policy is to define the nature of the anonymised microdata files that will be released, the intended use of these files and the conditions under which these files will be released.

Economic Development & Poverty Reduction Strategy 2008 - 2012

Rwanda’s Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS) provides a medium term framework for achieving the country’s long term development aspirations as embodied in Rwanda Vision 2020, the seven year Government of Rwanda (GoR) programme, and the Millennium Development Goals. The implementation of the EDPRS will require RWF 5,151 billion over the five years 2008-2012.

Implementation of Economic Development & Poverty Reduction Strategy - 2008

This report outlines the progress made in 2008 in implementation of the Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS) based on the key targets and policy actions in the EDPRS Results and Policy Matrix.

The EDPRS Results and Policy Matrix is structured on 3 major strategic objectives of; Increased economic growth, Managing population growth rate and enhancing population development and Enhanced gains through good governance.


First National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (2009 -2014)

NSDS is conceptualized to strengthen the information backbone of EDPRS – (Economic Development and poverty Reduction Strategy)1 that will provide the relevant indicators to be used in formulating, updating, monitoring and evaluating the strategies and targets of the country towards Vision 2020.NSDS document is a blueprint of the programs, projects and activities of the National Statistical System (NSS) to be pursued from the year 2009 to 2014 in major sectors of the society.


Strategic Plan for the Development of National Statictical System (2003-2007)

This is the strategic plan for the Development of National Statictical System between 2003 and 2007. The National Statistal System dislocated strongly following the 1994 genocide. Statistics producers evidence this; the users of statistical data as well as the partners of national statisticsl system also perceive it.
